Loan amortisation profile

Loans at Funding Circle run for a maximum of 5 years but in the case of a Property Investment loan, lending such large amounts over 5 years would make the repayments unmanageable for the borrower. So the repayments are calculated on a 20 year amortisation profile, meaning a 5 year loan has the same monthly repayments as a 20 year loan. At the end of the 5 year term, the borrower would need to pay back the difference, usually by refinancing or selling the property.
