Depending on the type of loan, the structure of repayments may vary. The structure will be shown in the repayments section of the individual loan request.
For Property Development Loans, you will receive monthly repayments of only the interest on the loan. At the end of the loan term, the principal is paid back in full, plus any additional interest due.
For Property Investment Loans, the amortisation profile of the loan is over a longer period of typically 25 years to make the repayments manageable for the borrower. The borrower will refinance after 5 years to keep the loan term in line with other loan types on the marketplace. This means that investors can expect a monthly payment of interest and principal and a lump sum repayment at the end of the term when the borrower refinances.
