Why can I see businesses with less than 2 years trading or with no credit score?

You may see some property loans on the marketplace where the borrower does not have 2 years of filed accounts or trading history, like we would usually require. This is because property developers or investors may set up a single purpose vehicle (SPV) to develop or manage the property. Most property developments are in a SPV.

Credit bureaus score companies based on the trend in performance, amongst other things. For young companies, bureaus do not calculate credit scores which is why you will not see credit score information for certain loans. That said, each borrower will have passed our credit assessment before being listed on the marketplace.
