API stands for ‘Application Programming Interface’. Put simply, an API is a way for third party software to communicate with Funding Circle services through a safe and controlled channel.
Usually, Funding Circle investors will log into their account on the website and interact with the marketplace directly by placing bids and buying and selling loan parts. With an API, investors can write their own bidding programs that communicate with the Funding Circle marketplace programmatically.
The Funding Circle public API has not been released yet.
